On #WorldDayAgainstTraffickingInPersons, AHTU, CID, West Bengal observed #InternationalAntiHumanTraffickingDay by conducting awareness programmes in 11 schools across the State, reaching nearly 2,500 students. Schools covered: Rabinda Balika Vidyapith (South 24 Parganas), Siliguri Girls School, Itinda Girls High School (Basirhat), Malda Girls School, Baghmundi Girls High School (Purulia), Dudhkundi Charulata Girls School (Jhargram), Benachity High School (Durgapur), Barrackpore Cantonment Girls High School, Jogesh Chandra High School (Howrah), Shiksha Mandir Balika Vidyalaya (Chinsurah) and Laban Hrad Vidyapith for Girls (Salt Lake). The programmes featured survivor interactions, sessions by NGOs, DCPU and CWC, and a cyber safety awareness session aligned with this year's theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam." West Bengal Police continues to strengthen its 39 AHTUs to enhance awareness, prevention and victim protection across the State.
